"retention problem"

About: Leicester General Hospital

I had a bladder retention problem due to enlarged prostate and was transferred to the General in the middle of the night after visiting the local hospital and Royal who could not insert a catheter. I was seen within in a few minutes and the problem was solved after being in agony for hours. That aspect was good.

Later with a day surgical procedure for tests on the prostrate, I was sent home with too few antibiotics and will have to wait 4 weeks for the results which I suggest is far too long.

Dear reviewer,

Thank you for taking the time to post your comment.

We are pleased to hear about the care you received at the General, but sorry you are not happy with how long you have to wait for the test results. If you would like to discuss your concerns, please contact me - Linda.Dales@uhl-tr.nhs.uk - and I'll investigate.

Kind regards,

Linda Dales
