What I liked

At 15 weeks of my pregnancy, I was seen at the antenatal clinic in Wharfedale Hospital and offered a dating scan (which I should have been offered by the LGI at 12 weeks of pregnancy but had never received their appointment). The sonographer was extremely attentive, really warm and approachable, and offered me a date to return for my next routine scan at 20 weeks of pregnancy. I was given a lot of choice with regards to the day and time of my next appointment that was most convenient to me.

My next experience of the scan appointment in October was equally as positive. This was a different sonographer, who again, was very attentive, warm and approachable and spent a lot of time addressing our concerns and queries.

There were also excellent facilities in the waiting areas to entertain our 3 year old while we waited to be seen. However, we did not wait long to be seen as we were seen promptly on the time of our appointments.

What could be improved

Nothing!

Anything else?

A much more pleasant experience than when I was seen at the LGI in my first pregnancy. The service delivered at Wharfedale was much more intimate and personal and I felt like the staff were relaxed and that they really cared.
