I have been an insulin dependent type 1 diabetic all my life but it wasn't until I received care from my current endocrinologist at the Diabetic Clinic at the RUH that I felt listened to and cared for. I visit this clinic on an annual basis and for many years now have consistently been seen by the same Consultant (continuity of care). My opinions are listened to, discussed and very much taken into consideration.
I never feel 'bullied' or 'told off' as I have been in the past at other hospitals.
I should add that I also have been through Maternity at the RUH, cancer care and continue to attend the eye clinic.
I have no complaints about any of these services and have been treated with dignity and care by all of them.
