"Life changing service"

I was referred to Guys as an anxious patient, I couldn't even lay back in a dentist and gagged before they even put an instrument in my mouth. I first had treatment under sedation, as my teeth needed seeing to due to at least a decade of no dentist visits.

The sedation is brilliant and I saw a mixture of pre and post graduates (there are tutors who assist). Once my teeth were sorted I started CBT with the doctor and a mixture of nurses and hygenists.

It's a mixture of talking and exposure therapy, you get to 'play' with some common dental tools, and have some sessions with the nurses etc.

I used to travel 2 hours to get to my appointments, and if you do use this service be prepared to give up some but it is worth it! Remember this is a free service and they are swamped!

I now see a dentist in my local area with no issues, couldn't have done it without the team at Guys!
