"Colonoscopy"

About: Bishop Auckland Hospital

Has a routine colonoscopy this week as part of the Bowel Cancer Screening Programme and experienced first rate team work, great communication and a professional but friendly approach.

Results of the procedure discussed before I left the hospital, confirmed by letter within 2 days. I also had a follow up telephone call the day after the procedure to check that everything was OK, which it was.

Chose not to be sedated and was much more aware of what was happening without too much discomfort.

Overall, a very positive experience.
