"Unwilling to help me"

About: Doddington Hospital

I called Doddington Hospital this morning for some help and advice because I was unable to see a GP in my own surgery for more than a week, and a very rude person simply told me that you cannot help there and "if it's that bad" why not take a trip to A&E?

If this is indicative of the "care" there; thank god I am usually very healthy.

Very disappointed, and quote angry - perhaps your telephonist could use some Customer Service training?

I was personally most disappointed to read your comments regarding the lack service you received when contacting Doddington Community Hospital.

It goes without saying that the experience you described falls well below the standard of care and advice we expect to be delivered by any of our services.

Please be assured that I will be contacting the hospital site manager and passing your comments on.

All staff should know that if they are unable to assist with an enquiry they should take the persons name, telephone number and nature of enquiry and ask the Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) to make contact or if appropriate, give the PALS telephone number and e-mail address and ask Patient to make contact with PALS.
