"nightmare a&e visit with a 3 year old child..."

About: Tameside General Hospital

I came to a&e after my 3 year old son fell and bumped his head, he was screaming, crying and vomited after waking up and was touching to his head, I was shocked by the level of service, almost 3 hours and no doctors yet, with a head injury and with all the symptoms I thought they would have given a little bit more priority to a 3 year old child still waiting at 230 am after coming in at 1130pm with hardly any patients waiting. I am not suprised why tameside is one of the worse hospitals and this will be the last time I visit.

Please accept our apologies for the delay and stress caused by the extended wait when visiting the Emergency Department.

I would appreciate you contacting the Pals and Complaints department on 0161 922 4466 or palsandcomplaints@tgh.nhs.uk to gain more detail so that we can look into your concern in more detail.
