"Polite reception staff. Good waiting ..."

About: Calderdale Royal Hospital

(as the patient),

What I liked

Polite reception staff. Good waiting times.

What could be improved

My husband recently visited A&E and had several comments to make:

1. Scruffy appearance of nurse who dealt with him.

2. No staff members introduced themselves.

3. The Dr was abrupt and rude and did not discuss my husband's condition nor did he physically examine his injury or explain his recommendations.

I feel let down because I had encouraged him to visit A&E for a professional opinion on his injury and it seems that, in particular the Dr was far from respectful and could probably benefit from customer service training i.e. politeness, communication skills.

Anything else?

My husband did not feel as though he been treated like a human being and did not have confidence in his treatment.
