I was out walking in the lovely Ochil hills, making my way to the summit of Dumyat when I slid and fell, putting my hand down. On the way back down the hill, I realised that I had hurt it more than I thought. It was a Sunday so I thought I'd wait til the next day and if it wasn't any better I'd get it checked.
I went to the minor injuries unit at Stirling where after 90 minutes a lovely nurse practitioner called Ruth, called me and apologised for the wait. She was so nice, she arranged for an X ray and the team there were lovely too, very kind and efficient. I was told I had damaged the tendons and given some painkillers and Ruth said I would be contacted within 5 days for physio. Yesterday, I got a phone call and my physio starts next week.
Incredible service from wonderful people who are working flat out to do the best they can under extreme pressure. I couldn't be more impressed, all you hear are complaints about the NHS, so I just wanted to let them know that I think they are incredible and deserve a lot more praise than they get.
