"Minor injuries closed at 3pm today (a Thurs),..."

About: St Bartholomew's Hospital

I went to visit the minor injuries unit at St. Bart's this afternoon to find a piece of paper stuck to the door saying 'we're closed' and 'not seeing patients'. There was no explanation offered for the closure, no warning on the website (or I wouldn't have left my workplace and travelled to the hospital), and I arrived more than an hour before it was due to close, and more than 30 minutes before the last patient was supposed to be accepted for a walk-in appointment.

We are very sorry to hear that the Minor Injuries Unit was closed when you came and that there was no explanation for this. We apologise for any inconveniences this caused you.

You are right, there should have been a message posted on our website and on the door of the Unit stating that the Unit was closed and why. We will ensure that this does happen in future.

Kind regards

Barts Health NHS Trust
