"What a difference three years ..."

About: Huddersfield Royal Infirmary

(as a relative),

What I liked

What a difference three years makes! I visited my Mother in hospital in June. The staff seemed focussed and engaged, helpful and friendly, very hard-working and well-dressed in their uniforms. The hospital seemed very clean and tidy. I particularly appreciated the hand-gels and notices to use them.

What could be improved

Food. My Mother was hardly able to eat anything whilst she at Huddersfield Royal as the food was poorly prepared.

Communication is another area for improvement. Whilst the nurses and doctors were very informative and helpful, some did appear to "talk over" my Mother, about her condition, in her presence and she found that a little disrespectful.
