"Having had my first baby at the ..."

About: Dewsbury & District Hospital

(as the patient),

What I liked

Having had my first baby at the LGI, I decided to try the Midwife Led Unit at DDH, the overall care from the first booking appoitment and scan through to the delivery of my son was excellent. I had the misfortune of having to use A&E three weeks later as my son was very ill, after been slighlty dismissed by the triage nurse, the pedatric staff who saw and recognised by son was gravelly ill and I can not thank enough, the time spent on ward 7 I would never like to repaet, but there time, support given to myself, husband and eldest son was second to none.

What could be improved

Feeding the parents on the ward, if you were breastfeeding you were given food, if not you had to go find some, which when your child is ill, is the last thing you want to do.
