My elderly mother mother was diagnosed with vascular dementia, general dementia and Alzheimer’s disease all of which combined to rob her of her short term memory. She is required to take medication 3 times a day for blood pressure, tinnitus and diabetes, but she frequently forgot to take any and on several occasions she overdosed which required emergency treatment.
The IRIS team then attended 3 times a day and supervised her medication which was now locked in a digital safe. They were always prompt and displayed an admirable professional attitude towards my mother. The regular taking of her medication certainly helped her general health. Their social worker attached to their team could not have been more helpful in arranging on-going assistance
"IRIS team displayed an admirable professional attitude towards my mother"
