"Appointment nightmare"

About: Leighton Hospital

Having a a 4 folder full of cancelled appointments rearranged appointments sent out in some cases after the appointment.

And getting several letters on one day cancelling an appointment rearranging an appointment and then a new appointment.

Also cancelling an appointment that I haven't had and when ring up

Appointments to find out what and who the appointment is with to be told they don't know says it all really:-(.

If they can't get appointments correct what hope is there of having a correct diagnosis of you've had so many cancelled appointments

Thank you for your comments regarding cancelled appointments. I am very sorry to hear that you have experienced so many issues with your appointments. To respond to your personal concerns, we would have to understand the area within the Trust that the appointments had been made. I can, however, inform you that work is currently taking place regarding service improvements within outpatients, including appointments and this has involved the review of letters templates for clinics. The result is that appointment and cancellation letters are currently being redesigned and we are also introducing new technologies to enhance the patients experience.

Learning about how we can improve is always useful to us and we would like to thank you for raising these issues with us.
