"my son"

About: Newham General Hospital

My son 12 years old came in on a Friday evening by ambulance as he wasn't responding (later found out due to low sodium in blood). He was taken to the paeds emergency area. The hospital staff were fantastic, the doctors and nurses were there for him every step of the way and kept me informed about what was happening. They took care of him so well, treated us all with respect and made decisions around me and explained things and answered all my questions. He stayed there for almost a week at the rainbow ward and all staff members wrre polite and helpful. I cannot stress enough how grateful I was for their urgent attention and helping me to calm me down, they basically saved my sons life and had him return back to is healthy self. I wouldn't hesitate to take my child their again if ever needed.

Thank you for taking the time to write such a lovely review about our Children’s Services at Newham.

It is great to hear that our staff made you feel calm at what must have been such a frightening time. We really value your feedback and have passed them over to the emergency team and the team on Rainbow ward to see.

We hope that your son is doing well.

Best wishes

Barts Health NHS Trust
