"staff were friendly and although ..."

About: King's Mill Hospital

(as the patient),

What I liked

staff were friendly and although they were completely rushed off their feet seemed to take the time for each patient

What could be improved

I was put on a ward with elderly adults with dementia (some cases very severe) i expected to be mixed, although with me being twenty years old, it made my experiance in hospital not very pleasant as i was not used to seeing the effects of this condition.

We are sorry that you were unhappy with your recent stay. It is unfortunate and sometimes unavoidable that patients are placed on clinical areas that obviously don't match their age grouping, but clinical necessity and capacity issues can mean that placement into a particular ward is necessary to ensure continuity of care management. We have not been able to identify your specific circumstances but if you would like to discuss this further please contact our Patient Advice and Liaison Service on 01623 672222.
