"The staff in children's A and E were brilliant"

My 9 year old son was taken into Sunderland royal in the early hours of 16/8/15 following a query siezure. Upon arrival we were taken straight into children's A and E. The staff in this department were amazing , they were compassionate, professional and reassuring.

My son was examined by a member of the medical staff. Myself and my wife cannot speak more highly of them. Their bedside manner with my son was exceptional making my son and ourselves feeling more at ease and whilst examining my son spoke to him making him laugh and basically gaining his and our trust immediately.

The doctor was very professional throughout but also had a very personal touch and had a brilliant way with my son and I am sure they are with all the children they come into contact with.

Please pass on our thanks to the staff of this department and in particular the doctor for the way they dealt with Ben.
