"Absolutely ridiculous hospital!"

My partner was given an appointment at 12:30 to have a operation on his finger, he got told not to eat after 7am which he did correctly. A doctor finally got round to seeing him at 4pm and they discussed what was going to happen, they then said there will be a 1-6 hour wait! My partner being very laid back accepted this and went to wait in the waiting room, it eventually got to 11pm and still no sign of the operation nor any communication with staff or a update regarding what was happening, it got to 16 hours with no food he was exhausted and starving! He eventually decided to come home as he couldn't take much more, he was told to come back in at 8am the next morning but again was not guaranteed he would be operated on that day. My partner will lose out on 2 days wages and 3 days with his daughter due to poor time keeping. Absolutely disgusting service, I and others are appalled that this seems to be acceptable.
