"Always new activities to try at the day centre"

I didn’t want to come here at first, I just wanted more physio and to get better from my stroke. It was my social worker who got me to come. The day centre gives my son a break from me and me a break from him.

The manageress, Jenny, is brilliant. She’s full of energy and on the go all the time. I think we could do with better equipment here but I think Jenny is already trying to get this sorted.

I do need to try and be patient here, some people have early dementia so they are quite slow in the quizzes.

The staff are great, always trying to come up with new things. The activities here keep my mind occupied. Sometimes the kids from the local school come in and do the quizzes with us, I think that’s really good. It’s a nice day today so I think we’ll get out into the garden later.

It was one of the other men’s birthday a few days ago and we got out to the pub to have a beer. We also went to Glasgow to visit the new transport museum, that was really good and I think there is a night at the bowling club coming up soon.
