"Still have unanswered questions about my twin pregnancy"

About: Victoria Hospital / Maternity care

(as the patient),

After an uncomplicated twin pregnancy until 34 weeks I started to feel very unwell with flu like symptoms and headaches. After a lot of visits to the clinic was continually sent home as they couldn't find pre eclampsia.

I only met with my named consultant once but was seen by other consultants avaliable at the time of my appointment. At my 36 wk appointment there was no plan put in place even though I requested a c section as I wasn't feeling well or up to the birth as I had a stiff neck and flu symptoms.

I was told to return the following week at 37 plus one to review situation. Two days later my waters broke with thick black fresh meconium. I quickly got to hospital and was assured I was progressing well with no apparent reason for c section, although they would be happy to proceed.

After an ultrasound scan I was linked to a CTG which was interpreted as reasurring and progressing well. After 5 hours they realised there was only one heart beat and have since said there was only one heart beat through out admission. I was rushed into theatre and one of my twins was born asleep.

No answers since this happened in March. I had one meeting which only resulted in more unanswered questions. Never heard update from meeting from either patients relations/hospital.

Very upset with my care. I feel the hospital did not take time for myself or my babies and still are not.
