"MRI scan"

About: Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital (Wonford)

My mother's MRI scan was well organised and we did not have to wait.

Everything was explained to her pre scan and she felt fully informed.

During the scan though she was sorry that no one spoke to her even briefly to ask how she was.

Her feeling was that staff were efficient but did not go the extra mile.

Response from Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital (Wonford)

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. I am delighted to hear that your mother felt well informed prior to her scan.

I am sorry to hear that nobody spoke to your mother during her scan, the Trust has a very clear set of values and it is always disappointing to note instances where staff have behaved in a way that does not reflect good practice. It is not possible to identify the members of staff involved; however, your comments will be used to remind the entire Radiology team of the expectation for kind and courteous communication at all times.
