My appointment was in February 2014. The locum ophthalmologist was late to clinic, they did not conduct the tests relevant to my condition that I have since learnt should have been conducted for my condition. I was not given a diagnosis and left with no treatment plan. I was in a lot of pain and discomfort at this time and the condition I have only worsens when left untreated and causes permanent damage. I then had to ask for a referral to another hospital in Birmingham where I got diagnosed. I did return to Arrowe Park in August 2014 to see a consultant who specialises in my condition. Why didn't the trust let me see them in February? If they had then I would not have taken up 2 further NHS appointments that could have gone to someone else. Furthermore I waited for 16 weeks for my appointment. I waited 8 weeks for my appointment at Birmingham and Midland Eye Centre.
