My husband suffers from early onset dementia and needed to attend the Endoscopy Department yesterday for a colonoscopy.
Right from entering the department I knew he was in safe hands. There was such a sensitive caring approach adopted by the doctor and the screening practitioner. They showed total respect and lots of patience. I was given every opportunity to discuss his needs, ask questions and everything was explained clearly.
Following the procedure, we were kindly looked after while we waited for the results. To receive the results before leaving was great and minds were put at rest.
We received a phone call this morning to check that all was well and any further questions answered.
Special thanks go to the screening practitioner for their sensitive, caring approach and to the doctor for their skill. Folks like this are like gold dust. If you need to attend this hospital for similar reasons, please feel reassured, you are good hands. The best!
"Gold dust!"
