What I liked

What could be improved

I am really angry about the manner in which my request was dealt with today by reception staff at A & E at approximately 17:30. My daughter broken her arm in Swansea and having received excellent care there the orthopaedic department understood that we live in Northampton and were willing to make an exception to their procedures to accommodate a frightened young girl. They went out of their way to provide us with her notes and X rays and told us to go to Northampton A & E and book an appointment at the Fracture clinic urgently. I arrived only to be cast aside by a member of staff completely unwilling to spend any time listening to unique circumstances. Without hesitation they told me that my exhausted daughter would have go through the repeated trauma of further examinations by Northampton staff because that was the system. They gave no credence to my desire to explain and ended the conversation with a dramatic flick of the wrist to send me away. This staff member appears to be happy to waste valuable Northampton resources namely time and money of already hard pressed staff to deal with a little girl already with a diagnosis and no longer an emergency case.
