Unless I am much mistaken I was the other Peter on the MAW (Medical assessment ward) as the one below me here and so concur with all he says.
The whole experience was nothing short of perfection. A quick and efficient admissions process - I was X-rayed and put in the CT scanner within an hour of arriving.
The staff from the doctors to the orderlies were polite, efficient and good at their jobs.
The Nurses, in addition to being utterly gorgeous, were funny, cheerful and bright, but above all brilliant at what they did.
The food - and this is the part I was dreading - was perfectly adequate, with the Sunday roast every bit as good as a restaurant or pub, but without the absurd quantities.
My condition improved quickly and I remained in for observation for another 2 nights.
Thanks to all the staff for a wonderful 3 days holiday(!!) and I hope you enjoyed the chocolates.
The only downside is that I am now on 4 weeks of strong antibiotics .... so no drinking for that period. Well, thanks a lot!! :-)
"Yes indeed ... the system works! Brilliantly."
