Yesterday my husband who has Parkinson’s disease and dementia wondered off and ended up on the other side of town. Fortunately a friend spotted him and pressed two other people to help him get back home while she herself came on ahead to let me know what had happened.
I was about to get in the car to go and meet them as I knew my husband would be exhausted and would need help and support. However I found there was an ambulance service care pulled up outside with my husband and his two helpers.
Mark Odam was in his vehicle when my husband approached the ambulance station close to where we live. He recognized immediately that my husband was in need of help and, although they were not going to the ambulance station but coming home, he took charge and got them all into his vehicle to complete the journey. This was in instance of unrecorded transport for which I am extremely grateful and cannot speak highly enough of Mark and the care and compassion he showed. Thank you Mark.
