"Building trust with my son at Batley Dental Department"

My son was referred to the specialist dental service at Batley by our consultant at Pinderfields. My son is autistic and had a very upsetting experience at 6 years old with another dentist. This has led him to refusing to even see the dentist.

After 4 appointments where we familiarised my son with the building, and the waiting area etc, trust was built with the nurses and the staff, and the procedure explained, my son has now had work done!

The team are amazing and I am so happy that he feels able to have this much needed treatment now to prolong his dental health. We have another appointment in November and then we can look at trying to get him to see our usual dentist so the service can be used for someone similar to my son.

I cannot thank the team enough for listening to him, working at his speed, not getting cross as all this little ways and questions and being my saviours.

Well done to all of you. You truly are miracle workers.
