"staff made me feel embarrassed"

About: Chesterfield Royal Hospital

I was admitted into hospital on 24th April 2015 with a fractured ankle and they sorted it as soon as they could and I was happy to be able to go home and I was told that it is healing properly and that they was to take the cast off on 13th July 2015 but when I went for physiotherapy I was made to feel embarrassed and at first was listening to me but I went to my appointment on 3rd August 2015 and told them that I want to be able to walk without crutches but they didn't listen and sent me out the department with one crutch and I can't walk without holding onto everything

You made this post just a couple of days ago - so I really hope you keep checking in for a response. We need to get someone to call you. First of all I'm sure I am sure our staff will be horrified to think they embarrassed you and I'm really sorry you felt like this. I'm not one of the clinical team. but it would be a good idea to arrange for someone to give you a ring - a) to understand what you can physically do at the moment and b) if you have the right walking aids to enable this to happen. Our complaints and assistance service can help on 01246 512640, or if you have email drop me a line with your full name, address, date of birth and post code. Please get in touch so we can try and resolve this issue. Best wishes Sarah Turner-Saint head of communications
