About: Torbay Hospital

Admitted as emergency (after a slight misdiagnoses) ; battery of tests done very very well; resulting in surgery being necessary and the person who did it - did an amazing job; staff on the ward were brilliant - why they get criticised I don't understand - only one niggle - bed near the kitchen area and certain catering staff behaved like small school children!! food was not be complained about; if you want 5* catering to to a hotel! perfectly edible; well presented and sufficient in the main. Consultant led team do work weekends - I was there; give them the resources they need - they are under serious pressure. They did a great job; understaffed but brilliant.
