"after sustaining several injuries ..."

About: Leicester Royal Infirmary

(as the patient),

What I liked

after sustaining several injuries after a bad fall,i was rushed to LRI, at A&E i was treated well, apart from no one would clean up my wounds, my wife had to do it! i stayed overnight on a very noisy ward nurses shouting over tannoy system all night.when i went back for my operation, it was even worse!staff very rude!ward was dirty, food was awful!and the sister well, i could not believe how rude she was!I am disgusted the way our hospitals ave changed!bring back Matron!and run the wards like they used to in the 70s.I thought care was about, treating people with respect, dignity and keeping them stress free, well u wont get any of that at the Royal.I waited 5 hours for a doctor to sign me out! 7hours for an MRI scan, i ask you is this helping with stress?bad enough you have pain, trauma, and in my case loss of earnings without the so called care profession adding to it! I have to go back and dread it! worst hospital i have ever been in!

What could be improved

Bring back proper care and repect for people, retrain so called nurses in how to talk to people

Anything else?

Cut waiting times, let us know what is going on.Remember we pay for this service
