"Minor Injuries Unit"

About: Wycombe Hospital

I was referred here by my GP after my 4 year old got something stuck up her nose. After waiting for 3 hours with no assessment we saw a nurse who told us they could not deal with this. I had doubled check on arrival that I was in the right place and told I was, obviously this was incorrect. We were told to either go home wait until someone called us for an ENT appointment or go to John Radcliffe. We went home. The next morning I went to A&E at Stoke Mandeville were my daughter was assessed within 20 mins and shortly after the object was removed, all in the separate pediatric area with toys, games and lovely nurses. The service at Wycombe Hospital was a shambles. I will be taking this up with my GP and telling all my friends to avoid this MIIU, especially with children.
