I was rushed to Basingstoke A and E by ambulance recently with a suspected mild heart attack, and from the ambulance staff to the nurses to the consultants and the porters everyone working there were brilliant. The staff were so very overworked and obviously under pressure yet they took time out to make sure I felt ok whilst I waited to be assessed. The person in charge of admissions was working on their own as their colleague had had to go home sick, yet they were so dedicated to their job that for the full 5 hours I was there they didn't take a break. The nurse that took my ECG and bloods was wonderful and the consultant extremely professional. They explained exactly what would happen and spent a full 15 minutes with me going through my symptoms. I went through a very scary experience, however the brilliant staff at Basingstoke A&E helped me through it. Thankyou, Simon
