"child with a fracture - F63"

About: Sunderland Royal Hospital

I had to bring my child to Sunderland following an accident at scout camp.He was admitted to F63. I found the staff to be helpful and caring, taking time to sort out my son's needs. The doctors, nurses and support workers on the ward and in A & E were all kind and considerate and my son even thought the food was good! I would like to thank especially the nurse on the reception desk at A & E. They came out to the car in the multi-storey to see my son and then helped us get into the building as my son could not walk. My only criticism is that, having not been to the hospital before and with building works going on, I couldnt find A & E from my car. I had to stop get out and ask someone which of the buildings it was - so better temporary signs while the building work is done would be helpful.
