"As a visitor the 'signage' ..."

About: Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust - Queen's Medical Centre Campus

(as a relative),

What I liked

As a visitor the 'signage' in the hospital was well marked, easy to read and clear BUT

What could be improved

I felt the outside signs around the various QMC buildings were badly marked, hard to read and in several cases contradictory!

The staff I met were brilliant and were very kind which is clearly more important than a few signs but in the ten minutes I was looking for the right ward, two members of staff wearing NHS ID cards even asked me directions!

Have I a problem with written directions (which is a possibility) or is this something that needs to be looked at more carefully?

Dear Mr Tapley

Thank you for taking the time to share with us your comments about our hospital. I am sorry to hear that you feel our signage is not as clear as it could be. It would be very helpful if you could contact our Patient Advice and Liaison Service on 0800 183 0204 or email pals@nuh.nhs.uk with details of the ward you were trying to find and how the signage caused confusion.
