"excellent experience from start to finish"

About: Queen's Medical Centre

Was referred to qmc for my son who was diagnosed with a spinal tumour. Our consultant was very clear about what they were going to do, and we got a surgery date two weeks from first consultation. When we had the op everybody involved were totally professional and caring. The ward we went to post op (E40) was clean and looked like it had been recently decorated. All of the nurses were really caring and looked after my son well, and overall made a traumatic experience that much easier. Food was great. I would recommend this hospital.

We are grateful that you have taken the time to get in touch with us to share your experience of your son’s care.

Thanks to generous donations from the Nottingham Hospitals Charity and the Teenage Cancer Trust we are very fortunate to have the best environment in which to care for our young patients, including on E40 where your son was staying after his operation. I’ll pass your feedback to the various teams involved in your son’s care.

Kind regards,

Janet Hagan.

Ward manager, E40.
