"Palliative Care Team"

About: Gloucestershire Royal Hospital

Our brother on his admission to Ward A was kindly reviewed by the palliative care consultant & specialist palliative care nurse. This was after their working hours and after seeing another patient on the ward. The palliative care team have remained involved with our brothers care through his stays on Ward A, 8a & 5b. As well as liaising with Bristol services, which is where our brother and family live. Received a call today from a member of staff who had been been liaising with ward 5b & the family regards his care needs (amount of sugar in tea and level of confusion) and his planned transfer to Bristol. This has been very much appreciated & again another positive experience from the staff at GRH. Thank you.

Hi there, Thank you for sharing this. Good to hear that your brother is still being well looked after - we'll pass your comments on to the Ward 5A team. Best wishes The team at Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust
