"Visit to A&E"

About: Southend Hospital

I came to the A&E on Monday 13 July with my son who had injured his knee playing basketball. We did wait for a while but it was very busy and we accepted that others may have had more serious injuries/illness. We were seen by a doctor and then the senior doctor who dealt with my son professionally. Due to various factors unfortunately both my son and me fainted in the treatment room so the poor staff had to attend to both of us! I cannot fault the treatment we were given. My son was issued with a brace and crutches for his injury and appointments arranged for further treatment - still ongoing but still as professional. I was given tests to ensure that my fainting was nothing more serious and only discharged whe the staff were satisfied I was ok. Thank you doesn't seem enough for the treatment we both received. I am so grateful that we were treated so well and by caring professionals.
