My IVF experience has been a shambles from start to finish. I was monitored at wigan with egg collection and embryo transfer at Hewitt. I was kept waiting for over an hour on arrival for egg collection after fasting as they didn't have enough beds. I can't thank one member of staff enough, they were the only one who had any patient care and made me feel at ease. The aneasthetic doctor was amazing listened to my concerns ETC. I felt like i was on a conveyor belt. I was contact day after retrieval to advise of numbers and day for 5 day transfer. The attitude of no news is good news are patients are clearly worrying about progression we didn't get any further information until we did transfer. I was a number at the clinic and not a patient. This is about creating peoples families a little compassion won't go far. Your advised not to get stresses they cause most of it. The whole experience is one i don't want to repeat again and won't be doing another IVF cycle if this one fails. I will give credit where its due to the right people the member of staff and the Anaesthetic DR they deserve my thanks for making things better.
