"Pharmacy over weekends"

I had bariatric surgery on ward c31. I cannot fault the staff at all. They were all lovely very friendly and understanding. The ward was spotless . My only complaint is that I was discharged on the Sunday and I had to wait 8 hours for my medication from pharmacy. This is a ridiculous amount if time for anyone to wait . the nurses were very apologetic. I think there is a definite need for more pharmacists to be working over the weekend in such a busy hospital. . it not only stresses the patients out who have to wait far too long to receive their medication but also the nurses.
