I was a bicycle accident on Portsdown Hill on Tuesday 28th July about 8.30. Firstly I want to say thank you to all involved in taking care of me in and out of QA A&E but I especially want to say a special thank you to those student nurses and the nurse in charge of intensive care who after a long days shift and just about to go home didn't think twice about coming to my aid and spending a good part of their evening tending to me at the roadside while waiting for the ambulance. Above and beyond from all of them and I was totally moved by their dedication. Whoever reads this please please find a way of getting a message of thanks out there for me. They will know who they are but I want them to know what a credit they are to their profession and I wish them all well in their careers. I regularly speak to large groups of young people and I know I will find as many opportunities as I can to sing their praises and use their example to impact on the younger generations to inspire them to demonstrate this type of behaviour in everyday life. You are all amazing people thank you so much.
