"a 'good' experience"

About: Worcestershire Royal Hospital

I recently had a colonoscopy which, though far from pleasant, was made tolerable by the extremely kind and caring staff on the department from reception onwards. I was extremely nervous but the member of staff who attended me was very calming and helped me to take deep breaths and told me I could take my inhaler (I have COPD) into the operating room with me if it would meke me feel more relaxed. Needless to say I didn't need to use it as I was well sedated. I hope not to have to return to the department but, if I do, will feel less anxious than I did this time.
