"Fantastic staff with matching skills"

I've lived in Leics for 63 years and this was my 1st referral after calling 111. Suffering chest pain I arrived at CDU for suspected blood clot. All the usual obs were done, plus chest x-ray and blood tests. Given some painkillers while I waited for results, and also coffee and cereals at 8.00. Plenty of time to watch this team in action, and they did shine, managing patients like me as well as the more urgent arrivals. What a well trained, respectful, skilled team they all are. Seemed to give the patients reassurance by their calm actions . I was diagnosed and medicated and on my way home in 5 hours. Hope I don't need this dept again, but no concerns if I do.
