What I liked

Improvements are happening,

The hospital is cleaner

The A&E department are more efficient

Food was readily available and I was asked if I wanted anything a number of times, in A&E and on the ward.

What could be improved

Discharge from hospital can be a long wait!

Regular checks on all patients (i was kept in overnight due to problems and stayed in a side room...I think they forgot i was there) No obs done.

Anything else?

Stafford Hospital has had a lot of justified bad press of late but for anyone that uses the hospital on a regular basis as I do, cannot ignore that changes are happening. I have recently been a patient in the Catheterization Suite and cannot fault the care I recieved and the cleanliness of the ward. The nursing staff and doctors were friendly, professional and efficient. I was very nervous about my day surgery with the negative press that was going on around this hospital but I need not have worried the care I received was second to none. I have had cause to complain on a previous occasion regarding care at Stafford, however I speak as I find and aside from all the negative comments, credit where credit is due, they did themselves proud.
