"Problems with ultrasound department booking"

A referral was made by my GP and an appointment was expected, however after six weeks of no news I called them and was advised there was a backlog and to be patient.

I advised them of an impending holiday as well as my work shift pattern. I was dismayed to then receive an appointment for when I was on holiday. I called back and was advised the receptionist for the department was not available, this lady left much to be desired in call handling skills, and the call handler took dates and details again.

I then received another appointment through the post for a date when I worked, my four days on and four days off again not taken into account. I called back again and spoke with the department receptionist reiterating my previous points and she said she would call me when they moved into the September booking rota.

Today I again received another appointment in the post, my third and this came in duplicate, for a work day! This means there has now been four letters sent and three phone calls, these often taking a good 30 minutes to get through to the after being cut off and/or redirected.
