I will never allow anyone in my company to refer to Good Hope Hospital as "no hope". From start to finish I can not fault my care from Good Hope Hospital, from the reception, outpatients, the Day Care Unit, theatre and Ward D16. I was treated so well. Members of staff that really stood out was the Consultant Surgeon, the Anaesthetist and their assistant really made me feel at ease and laughing before I went to sleep listening to Queen Music. A very special thank you to them. The nurse who looked after me on my return to the Day Care Unit was lovely and so patient, nothing was too much trouble, please thank them. As it was a little late for me to go home I was sent up to D16 for the night. There I met another wonderful efficient team, two nurses I will never forget are the Student Nurse that was on that night of the 28th July who cared for me overnight checking my blood pressure hourly and fetching me jugs of water all night, we got on really well and the other nurse who came on in the morning was exceptional, so patient and caring. They worked so hard and had so much patience with myself and the other patients in my bay. Nothing was too much trouble for them, I felt lucky to have had such amazing care from both of them and the others involved to numerous to mention. Thank you
