My 92 yr old father has been an in patient on ward 33 since Saturday and was told he would be going home on Tuesday. That didn't happen as he needed some more treatment. He was then told that he would go home on Wednesday and that an ambulance had been booked. He waited all day and the ambulance arrived for him at 10pm.I informed the ward that he couldn't come home at that time as he would have to climb steps to the front door, and there is no lighting at the front of the house. I was told that an ambulance would be rearranged for Thursday, after breakfast. I rang the ward at 10.40am only to be told that an ambulance had not yet been booked.Come on, this is a man who is 92 yrs old,has Alzheimers and other illnesses and he's being messed around. This is verging on torture as I was told how upset he was getting. Why can I not contact the matron of ward 33? The matron should be contactable at all times, even if it's to leave a message.Even the staff of ward 33 seem to be unable to give me contact details for the matron. This situation is a disgrace
"Disgusting treatment"
