"Broken ankle - the care was amazing ...."

I badly broke and dislocated my ankle. I was admitted to Maple Ward, had my own room, the nurses on the ward were fantastic. There I stayed for 3 days and then I was moved to the Day Ward because I was waiting for surgery. I met the loveliest patients and nurses while on this ward. The lady in the next bed sustained the same injury as me so we had a bond between us. I had my surgery; metal plate and screws in my ankle and was so relieved. The nurses were so caring and if you needed a hand to hold they were there. I cannot rate the hospital high enough - I had fantastic treatment in all departments that I visited.
