Live in Sussex but was referred to St Helier and Epsom for their expert care in Hip problems, The building was a bit of a shock to me compared to my local hospital it seems very dated and not very easy to navigate. However, the staff were very good at seeing I was lost and actually walking me to Orthopaedic outpatients reception (note to hospital please can you provide a sign for it!) The staff I encountered at the clinic were also very good, the clinic was running 90 mins late and they encountered a lot of flack but kept their sense of humour and were very informative. They even helped me swap my car parking ticket for a special pass that meant I only paid for 1 hours car parking due to the delay. The only thing I did find a little odd is that the plaster room for in patients seemed to be located in the outpatients and myself and rest of patients waiting had to listen to a small child screaming for at least 40 minutes whilst having an obviously painful procedure done. It was very distressing for everyone waiting and one lady became very upset about it. I am not complaining about the child crying just querying the placement of this room within an outpatients department?
