"Hospital Review"

About: Withington Hospital

The consultant did not ask questions of my lifestyle but diagnosed by informing me to cut out spicy foods and caffeine. I am English and have never eaten spicy foods, preferring plain English cooking, I have had de caffeinated drinks for years, After having read that it is preferable not to have caffeine. The consultant was using his culture to determine mine and my behaviour which was completely unacceptable. They therefore used the diagnosis of acid reflux in my throat, without discussing my eating or drinking lifestyle.
