"Home birth"

Having had a homebirth just over a week ago I can say it was an amazing experience which I am sad is over. This is down to the support of the home birth team and their experience and knowledge. Having had a c section for the first birth I had to fight with the consultants that I was not making a terrible decision to have my next baby at home. Throughout everything this was the most stressful aspect and all the consultants and doctors should be made aware that a vbac at home can work and to not make the mother feel like she is putting her babies life at risk! The team were always there to discuss any concerns and talk through everything with my partner. The day of the birth the two midwives were soo supportive and reassuring understanding what I needed from them during the labour. Unless I medically needed to I would never give birth in hospital and wouldn't hesitate to recommend home birth and the team to anyone expecting their baby.
